After a decade-long hiatus, I'm thrilled to return to blogging, armed with a fresh perspective and a decade's worth of tech advancements to explore. As I dust off the keyboard and dive back into the digital realm, I can't help but marvel at how much has changed since I last shared my thoughts online.
It would be a metaphorical dusting of the keyboard as
professionally I am an IT software test consultant. This is more of a hobby
with the intention to share my experience to help others, be that even a single
person.
Technology has evolved at an astonishing pace over the past
ten years, reshaping the way we live, work, and communicate. From the rise of
smartphones and social media to the emergence of artificial intelligence and
the Internet of Things, the tech landscape is more dynamic and exciting than
ever before.
In this revitalized blog, I'll be delving into all things
tech, sharing how-to guides to help you navigate the ever-changing digital
landscape, and offering candid critiques of the latest gadgets and devices
purely with a hobbyist lens. Whether you're a seasoned tech enthusiast or a
curious newcomer, there will be something here for you.
Expect in-depth reviews of the gadgets I've accumulated over
the years, from smartphones and laptops to smart home devices and wearables.
I'll share my experiences, both positive and negative, to help you make
informed decisions when it comes to your own tech purchases. I will also share,
from a consumers perspective, my thought process in narrowing down the choice
on these gadgets, however irrational that may have been.
But it's not all about the latest gadgets and gizmos. In
addition to practical how-to guides and insightful critiques, I'll be
reflecting on the ways in which technology intersects with our daily lives,
shaping our relationships, our work habits, and even our sense of self. As we
navigate this digital age, let's not lose sight of the human element behind the
screens. I'll be exploring broader topics such as lifestyle habits and specific
challenges I personally faced and how it shaped my decisions. This is the
'Stuff' aspect of the blog.
Instantly a couple of examples come to mind. A prime one
would be, having been taken-out in a game of 5-aside, coming out with a slipped
disc, how my office life changed and choice of ergonomic chairs had to be
questioned. Spoiler alert, I purchased a Steelcase Gesture. Further spoiler
alert, what a load of s^&t.
The second example is more about me being a tight
Yorkshire-man, I wouldn't recycle a gadget unless its well and truly done for.
Currently I have a TV mainboard which needs replacing and a few Apple products
that need new batteries. I cannot wait to document my results and the how-to
guides for those willing to experiment.
The objective is to keep these unbiased and unsponsored so
that the information provided is impartial, with the intention firmly being
that I am able to help someone else.
So, whether you're a tech aficionado or simply curious, join me on this journey as we explore the ever-evolving world of technology together. It's good to be back.
